Used VW drivers may want to take a look at the new Golf Plus which was unveiled at the Bologna Motor Show in Italy this week.
According to the carmaker, the updated model resembles the sixth generation hatchback edition of the vehicle and has a dynamic and distinctive appearance.
VW explained it had made a number of internal and external improvements.
Changes include a slightly lower profile then its predecessor and a new-look radiator grille.
The manufacturer claimed: "The new Golf Plus reaches a new level of quality, while continuing to be one of the most practical and versatile vehicles in its class."
Information on prices, trim levels and engine options are due to be released closer to the model's UK launch date - which is scheduled for spring next year.
Meanwhile, used VW drivers may also be interested to hear the Scirocco was named Car of the Year 2008 by Top Gear.
